Application status: SUBMITTED -- ON WAITLIST

• Following closure of the application period, we are currently assessing whether applicants in the “submitted – on wait list” status are eligible for review according to program priorities and in the order received. 

Application status: APPROVED

• Applications under the “approved” status are not subject to changes in payment or assistance once a signed landlord agreement or tenant agreement, and/or award letter is executed and provided to the applicant. All applications are reviewed in the order received with a determination made on meeting program eligibility requirements, providing accurate documentation and information, and responsiveness of applicants.

Application status: CLOSED

• Applicants under the “closed” status have been provided all eligible assistance through Anaheim’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program and are not eligible for additional assistance per program guidelines. Applications under the “closed” status are not subject to changes in payment or assistance once a signed landlord agreement or tenant agreement, and/or award letter is executed and provided to the applicant. 

Application status: PENDING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / UNDER REVIEW

• Applications under the “pending additional information” and “under review” status are currently being reviewed by our staff. Applicants should await email and phone communications from our team if additional information or documentation is needed to determine program eligibility.

Application status: NOT ELIGIBLE

• Applications under the “not eligible” status, were reviewed and determined not eligible for program assistance. According to program guidelines, an applicant may appeal to have their application be reopened within 15 business days from the date of their final decision by award or denial letter. Appeals received after this time frame will not be considered.

Applications under “ineligible” status were reviewed and determined to be ineligible for program assistance. In accordance with program guidelines, an applicant may appeal to have their application reopened within 15 business days from the date of their final decision by award or letter of denial. Appeals received after this deadline will not be considered.

Landlords: What to Know

The city's Emergency Rental Assistance Program application period closed on March 31, 2022.  Applicants may still log in to view or edit their existing application information but may not submit a new application. 

Why does my application say, "Submitted - On Wait List?"

As of late November, funds are running low and we have established a wait list for new applicants. Applications will be processed in the order received, with prioritization also given to those who have received an eviction notice.
