Child support for single parents

The economic benefit for a dependent child or the help of the points, are what you can enjoy if you are a single parent. Only in the event that your child lives with you and you are in charge and financially dependent on you. Only if you are the parent who is caring for the minor , being the same as being the father or the mother.

Income limit to apply for help

As always, you have some income limits to receive as a requirement, to apply for this aid:

  • Do not exceed 12,312 euros annually.
  • If the child is disabled, you have no income limit.
  • If you have three dependent children, the annual income limit is 18,532 euros. And for the fourth child add 3,000 euros more.

How much is charged for child support

Depending on different factors, the annual payment is paid every six months, and always depends on age and if there is any disability:

Foster children or minors under the age of 18 without disabilities291 euros per year
Foster children or minors under 18 years of age with a disability equal to or greater than 33%1,000 euros per year. You can opt for the perception of 250 euros quarterly.
Children over 18 years of age with a disability equal to or greater than 65%€4,704.00. It can be received in monthly payments of 392.00 euros.
Children over 18 years of age with a disability equal to or greater than 75%€7,056.00. It may be charged by monthly installments of 588.00 euros euros.

In Spain, there is a Title that is granted to the single- parent family , but not in all the autonomous communities, if not in certain ones, such as Catalonia or the Valencian Community. With this the situation is accredited, and you have family advantages, discounts, museums, culture in general, among others.
